postcard from oc

it rained for about 5 minutes while i was in orange county. this frame was taken right before it started up. it was funny to me because it was all over the news that it would be raining.

i put this little postcard together. the image was taken at venice beach, ca. on the 13th. i only had about 20 minutes there, but i definitely got the vibe. enjoy.

west hollywood

hello,
lid and i are in west hollywood right now, fun huh. she has a work related meeting in the morning at the pacific design center. since the trip requires a flight and a few days away from home i decided to tag along and add a couple stops along the way. we have grandparents and cousins in so cal that we'll be visiting. tomorrow after lidia's meeting we're headed north to santa barbara to see the old relatives then onto OC to visit the cousins the following day. today we bummed around sunset blvd, lid did a bit of shopping (one of her great talents:) and i did a bit of photography. tonight we are hooking up with the lyon's for dinner, should be amazing.

lucky aren't i...

this week i had a fatal computer crash of which i lost everything on my hard drive. luckily i had all my important files backed up. losing a few contacts and bookmarks and the hassle of having to import and install programs is nothing compared to losing important photos. The image above is of Lidia, my amazing wife. If I'd have lost this image, the crash would have been truly devastating. Lucky that I backed everything up, but more lucky to have an awesome and beautiful wife. :) Advice to all you photographers, if you aren't backing up your files you need to start.
